It looks like Erykah Officer has kept her promise in following the "doctor's orders." In her new music video, she has shown she is focused on her goals and musical ambitions.
The young R&B star dropped her visuals for her latest single and first song of 2023 'Curve Queen" on February 24th, 2023. The video features Erykah along with two other dancers (Abby Laura, and Paris Mishonti) styled by Secoya Lashae and hairstyling by Francesca Bailey. Erykah's latest anthem talks about the young star standing in her power, and sure as hell sounds like she is focused on herself and her ambitions in this one stating "Fuck him, then I ghost him - he tight I ain't post him." She goes on to state she would rather be in the booth, and she is in fact the Curve Queen herself.
The music video was directed by Ike Anyanwu, and Choreography was by "Everything Garlon." The video starts with Erykah sitting around with her fellow dancers where pink and golden overtones shadow them. The girls kick it off with their dance and give us everything and more. From the power, in the way, they look into the camera to the dynamism in their dance moves. You can clearly tell the Curve Queens are not the girls to mess with.
From stunning visuals creating a decadent ambiance to the potency of the lyrics, Curve Queen is a must-watch. Officer has elevated the take on this video in regards to showing a different side of her. Previous videos of Erykah's have depicted the artist in a more soft manner. Curve Queen shows just how much of a badass Ms. Officer truly is in regard to her multi-talented and faceted self.
